Some insurer offers discounts to their clients who drive a lower than average number of mileage a year. Low mileage discounts are applicable to drivers who car pool to work.
Other companies offer discounts to drivers who get cover because of a group plan from their employers, professional, business groups, alumni groups, or other associations.
Some companies tender discounts to their customers who have not had any mishaps or violations for a number of years. Policyholders may also get a reduction if they take a defensive driving course.
If there is a driver which is young on the policy but a good student and has taken a drivers education class or is at a college not in the area but without a car that may also qualify for a discounted rate.
