This may have to do with their better driving habits compare to men who treats driving as a mere task, thrown into memory and executed as if it was a chore. Women treat driving as a challenge on the mainly male dominated streets and are more careful in their driving habits leading to lower premiums for their insurance. They also tend to be more choosy of their vehicles getting them fixed more promptly than men who often forgo maintenance more than women on the roads. There are exceptions for women tend to be more emotional and are prone to flare-ups, but compared to road rage men engage in as pent up stresses at work and the home pile up, they are still safer and thus more easier to deal with.

The cash for clunkers program of the current administration has passed and is set to be signed into law to the benefit of people who would have otherwise not had enough cash to get new cars. Designed to address the issue of growing emissions, the program aims to extend government loans for car owners who’s vehicles fail to meet government emission standards, helping them acquire hybrids or newer more efficient models and vehicles. The other goal of the said law is to get people to buying newer cars, helping both the auto industry and car owners. Old cars are assessed and valued by the government for discounts at the dealer to get out more hybrids and support the ailing auto industry at the same time.

Many people have jumped onto the pay as you drive offers that are being given to underinsured drivers to get them the coverage they need. The problems with uninsured and underinsured drivers grew so much that the said option was given to most drivers who would otherwise have to go without necessary insurance risking their lives and those of others they may encounter on the road. Such products and options are indeed giving people the options they need to get them insured assuring they get the treatment they need in the event of a crash or accident. The roads are safer and more easier to deal with especially in the event of a crash which is one of the most traumatic events on our many roads to date.

It has been a few months since people have been ordered by law to refrain from using their phones yet though many have done so there are still some cases of mobile phone use related accidents the world over. Mobile phones now come standard with hands-free options or accessories that allows one to use them without having to take their hands off the wheel. But some safety experts are still arguing that the use of these wireless implements still poses a huge risks due to the distraction of calls and conversing over these gadgets. Some high-end vehicles have built-in hands-free options for most phones that allows the stereo and windows to adapt as calls are made and ended.

Nope, we’re not talking about aircraft but people who have been flagged as those who file frequently for auto insurance claims hence the branding. Insurance companies used such background checks to establish the insurance history of new applicants but today, even the many insurance fraud investigative branches of law enforcement are doing the same. People who are involved in insurance fraud normally have records as long as a rap sheet which is used to flag them for investigation. Though this is only possible for those criminals who are not wise enough to change their names before going their way, links can be re-established if they are involved in more than just auto insurance fraud.

A recent study has shown that women are less likely to be charged with high car insurance premiums compared to male drivers.

Insurance companies cite that women tend to be more level headed – and less aggressive – than male drivers. They also tend to make more practical – thus cheaper – choices in cars, which in itself helps reduce car insurance premiums due to the lower maintenance and repair fees. Women are also less likely to be given a speeding ticket or get into accidents, owing to their higher concentration and attention to detail when driving.
This is not to say though, that men cannot avail of low auto insurance premiums, as long as they have a good driving history and practice defensive driving. As long as the driver is low risk and less likely to file insurance claims, then they can be given lower premiums.

Many people especially businessmen are pulling all stops when it comes to potential business opportunities, enough to break the law and still use their mobile phones even when it has been banned by law for a couple of months now. Accidents are still happening even with the safe cars we have now making the weak-link still the driver or human at the wheel. The area of intense focus of the human eye is roughly a few square meters in the center of your field of view. Any distraction to your driving task, such as using the mobile phone almost eliminates that greatly eliminating your ability to drive.
That is not taking into the account of such unforeseen and unmeasurable factors such as emotions (an angry driver talking to an erring client, a brokenhearted sweetheart left by his guy and so on and so forth), the amount of accidents has increased but the problem is that not enough people have ample coverage leading them into more trouble than usual.

Car insurance companies look at licensed drivers without insurance as irresponsible or risky. For this reason, if you let your policy expire, you will most likely pay more the next time you buy a car insurance. So, if you plan to switch to another insurance company, be sure to buy an insurance policy there before your current one expires to maintain more or less the same amount of premium for you. Another way to save on your insurance costs is to increase your deductible (participation fee) so that you will have a lower premium. Just make sure that you can and will pay your deductible in case you have to make a claim.
